Installation and Planning

When considering a do-it-yourself install, we generally recommend that greens over 450 square feet be installed by a professional certified DuraGrass installer. Greens over 450 square feet will require multiple seams and extensive base work. We have provided the following list of basic instructions and equipment you will need to properly install a DuraGrass synthetic putting green.

Installation Instructions
1. Determine location and size.
2. Clear area for sub-base.
3. Distribute the sub-base material.
4. Compact sub-base.
5. Determine hole placement.
6. Dig holes for cups.
7. Set cups.
8. Lay turf over sub-base.
9. Perpare and seam the turf (if applicable).
10. Cut turf to specific shape and design.
11. Cut out holes.
12. Secure outer edge of turf.
13. Apply in-fill (if applicable).
14. Broom and roll the green (if applicable).
15. Play golf!

• Spreader (Drop or Broadcast)
• Sod Cutter (if necessary)
• Hole Cutter
• Shovel
• Landscaping Rake
• Spray Nozzle and Water Hose (w/water)
• Chalk Line
• Straight Edge (for seaming)
• Plate Compactor or Small Riding Roller
• Carpet Cutter
• Stiff Bristle Broom
• Wheel barrel
• Bobcat or front end loader (if necessary)
